Please
note: "(sp)" by a dog's name indicates
that dog will have special needs to its care.
"(*)" by a dog's name
indicates that the dog is an assisted placement or
courtesy listing
(helping another rescue or owner).
Spay/Neuter &
Medical Care:
Before adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered
and their shots brought up-to-date.
The BCCR will also make sure that dogs needing
additional vet-recommended care get the assistance
they need before placement.
Adoption & Fees:
Adoption fees vary between $80
- $400, depending on the age and health
of a dog (see below).
The average vetting cost per dog is $350 - $400,
so the fees below are necessary in order to help
other incoming dogs.
As of Sept 1, 2008, BCCR Adoption *fees:
0 to 3 years, healthy $400.00
3+ to 5 years, healthy $300.00
5+ to 10 years, healthy $250.00
10+ years and up, healthy $125.00
10 years and up (or with severe special needs
or health issues) $80.00
*Please note that the fees are in the country of
origin (i.e., a dog in the U.S. with U.S. adopters
is in U.S. funds). Please keep in mind that if
a dog is being fostered in the U.S., any vetting would have been paid by the BCCR
in U.S. funds.
